Girl, Cleaned Up!

One girl has got what she deserved!! Elin Nordegren has bagged a $750 million settlement in her divorce from Tiger Woods in exchange for her silence about his numerous affairs. You can believe that?!?!? Someone must have some pretty dirty secrets! A source reveals:

"Elin is desperate to protect the children from the womanizing side of their father. Tiger's main fear is her telling her story after he's rebuilt his reputation, sending him back to the gutter. Elin's legal team have done a great job digging up all sorts of assets.

"The price of the huge sum is her silence: no interviews, tell-all books, or TV appearances about this for the rest of her life — even if Tiger dies first — or she'll lose the lot. Everything's signed. Elin is ready to file for divorce at Orlando County Court. She expects to in the next seven days."

Good for her!

As for the children, Elin will have sole physical custody of their kids Charlie and Sam, but they will split legal custody.

Tiger can see the kids for up to half of each week, but he is not allowed to bring any women that he is involved with around the children, unless he marries one of them.

Sounds like Elin got all the bases covered! Take that money and run, girlfriend!

I am actually at a loss for word for a second.
I'm not sure what to blog about on this one. I was originally going to blog about the cool theme and feel of the wedding....but every time I look at these pics I can't not be memorized by Christine Chang's photography.

The photos are absolutely stunning. She has done the bride and groom proud.

The bride and groom, Kristi and Anthony, are a rock and roll type couple.

The bride got the feather idea for her wedding from her own jewelry making. She owns a company, diamond willow, that makes jewelry that incorporates feathers.
Kristi was also inspired by her mother’s prim Japanese side and her fathers rocker tendencies which was brilliantly showcased throughout the swanky, stylish wedding day.
The wedding was at the Jefferson Street Mansion (built in 1861) in Benicia.
What I love most about this wedding? That the bridesmaids wore Betsey Johnson dresses and knuckle rings. What a cool touch!
Just by the pictures, I'm sure they had a rockin party.
Hopefully more people will follow in Kristi and Anthony steps and go for something fun and unique.

Handmade Wedding

Now a days, wedding doesn't always mean one thing. People are branching out and making their weddings more unique, incorporating themes and traditions that are special to them.

This Chicago based couple had some fun touches at their wedding.

Dolan Geiman and his now wife, Ali Marie, run a shop on Etsy and tour the country participating in craft fairs. They call their art "contemporary with a southern accent".
This couple opted for a small ceremony and got married at The Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago.
The bride purchased the buttons for her hair off Etsy and they were hand sewn into her hair for the big day.
After attending their first derby party, the couple got the idea for their "equestrian preppy" look. This couple definitely utilized their creative friend. And even bartered their artwork for wedding services.
Even the cake was bought through Etsy. I love that the button theme picks up again in the cake.
This style of wedding isn't for everyone, but I think they had some cute touches. I wish them the best of luck!

Platinum Weddings

Since I don't have cable I'm not really up on current TV, but don't worry I still spend hours in front of the TV. One of my recent favorite programs was "Platinum Weddings" on We channel (or Netflix if you're me). This show showcases OVER (....well perfect in my mind) the top weddings. I will admit that most of the brides and grooms get their weddings paid for by one of the sets of parents.....and with that in mind, I have decided to divorce my parents and find "better" ones with lots of cash to spare.

One of my favorite episodes was the wedding of an Indian couple. Their wedding was a 4 day celebration that included cannons, a helicopter and a white horse. The bride walks down the aisle in $100,000 worth of jewelry and dress. Their first dance featured a snowstorm, to go along with their winter wonderland theme. Price tag you wonder? 1.26 MILLION. Try topping that!

It's pretty neat to see what you can do with an unlimited budget. The items with the biggest prices tags seem to be food and flowers. Some of my favorite touches were: having a candy bar, crystals hanging from the flowers, having a photo booth, walking down the aisle with both parents and of course, snow during the first dance. Big NOs were: pa systems (poor sound quality) and ugly dresses.

While searching for Hello Kitty food pictures, I came across a Hello Kitty wedding dress. Now, I am a Hello Kitty lover, but I would NEVER consider having a HK wedding dress. I mean, talk about looking psycho. I think most men would probably break off the engagement if you told them you were planing on wearing a Hello Kitty themed dress...or even worse having a HK themed reception. Oh man....
