Something Positive In The World

Believe it or not, there are a few positive things going on in the world :) You probably haven't heard of her, but Charice is a force to be reckoned with. Originally from the Philippines, she be came popular when a stranger posted a video of her on YouTube. Oprah's producers were among the 13 million people to logged on to watch this 16 year old perform.

Charice had a rough start at life, from a young age she watched her father physically abuse her mother. The young girl watched as her father held a loaded gun to her mothers head. After her mother left her father, Charice sang to help her mother. She entered in singing contests to help her mother pay the bills. After years of struggling, and even being homeless, Charice had won enough contests to help her mother pay for an apartment in a good part of town.

While at the Oprah show, Charice was hooked up with super producer, David Foster. She now performs with the likes of Celine Deon and Andre Bocelli.

This past weekend, Charice performed at a mall in Toronto.They were expecting about 500 people to attend. Over 6000 people showed up!
