Fall is just around the corner and you know what that means! Time for BOOTS! I'm really loving this pair! They are the Fiorentini + Baker "Eternity" Boot. I'm gonna have to start saving!

World's Most Expensive Shoes

Holy jesus! I never would have guessed that a pair of shoes could cost this much. Stuart Weitzman has broke the record at a whopping $2 million. The silver leather heels feature over 185 carats of tanzanite and 28 carats of diamonds. The front strap features a slim strap of diamonds but the heavy gemstones are designed to curve around the ankle with a 16 carat pear-shaped tanzanite drop surrounded by diamonds that dangles down over the top of the foot.

Man, you probably can't wear those out of the house. Make sure to get them insured!

I love shoes....the question is would I spend any amount on a pair of shoes? Unless I win the lotto something in the near future, even I have a shoe budget.....these won't be in my closet anytime soon. The $155,000 Eternal Borgezie Diamond Stilettos are pretty impressive. The shoes are handcrafted by a goldsmith and a jeweler sets the shoe with over 2,200 diamonds for a total of 30 carats. The shoes come with a 1,000 year guarantee. The red-soled shoes were designed by British jewelry designer Christopher Michael Shellis who spent three years working on the design.

Ummm, those probably won't be coming to the Nut House anytime soon.

Design Your Own Shoes!!!

Why no one has done this earlier, I don't know! Ever walked into the store looking for a shoe and come out empty handed? Well, those days are over. You will have to plan ahead, but it is now possible to find the perfect shoe for the perfect outfit.

London designer, Upper Boutique, has now made it possible to design the shoes of your dreams. It won't set you back too much either. The only downside is that it takes 6 weeks for delivery.

First you pick out the style and decide on the cut. They have all sorts of cuts...pumps, peep toes, slingbacks. 7 cuts total. For, style they have strappy, bows, flowers, buckles....just to name a few. There are about 10 styles per cut. There are a bunch of different strap options. Slingback, wrap around the ankle, etc. Next, you explore materials, colors and finishes. The materials are plentiful. There's leather, suede, patent, snakeskin, metallic, animal prints, satin and bridal satin. I think they have just about ever color covered. I'm totally going with fuchsia suede. They even have rhinestones and studs for a little extra glam.

Next, keep your fingers crossed and try to distract yourself until the mail comes..

Well Traveled Shoes

Well, lord knows I love shoes. And I really love sandals. You can just throw em on and go. They are easy to walk in and can be worn to the beach or a party.
I really like that these sandals are well traveled too.
Created in 1933 by Mr. and Mrs. Keklikian Jacques, K. Jacques is authentic St. Tropez fashion. Still a family business today, the brand has three stores in St. Tropez and a boutique in the very chic Marais quarter of Paris.
These sandals have easy going summer written all over them!

Updated Uggs

I know that most of you think Uggs and think ugly (especially you gentlemen folk out there)....but until you try them you can't talk shit. I love my Uggs no matter what they look like. They are for all those times when you can't wear flip flops (which in CA is just a few days out of the year). Well, Ugg is coming out with some new fall boots and such. Here are some of my favs....
I know that most of you are probably groaning but I like em.
I think the light one is cuter, but these are still cool
They might already have this style out. I think they are just a taller version of the style they currently have.....or have a few extra buttons. Nice update from the basic ones. For all of you who aren't brave enough to wear the furry ones ;)

Now those are some serious boots. I guess when you wear boots like that pants are optional.

Grown Up Jellies

Remember when you were a kid and jellies were popular? Those were the days. Well, guess what? Plastic shoes are making a comeback. World famous, Moschino has paired up with Kartell to give jellies an updated twist. These brightly colored lightweight ballet flats are 100% recyclable.

Clogs Galor

Not long ago, I brought you a post about the Charli clog by Jeffery Campbell (http://fashionfunandfur.blogspot.com/2010/04/wood-bottom-is-in.html). Some one must have been reading because Jeffery Campbell has decided to come out with a few more versions. I really like all 3 of these.

These ones look like they might get dirty quickly. But they are very cute. I saw them in this fabric in blue too.
These are not your mother's clogs. Love the floral pattern on em. Makes em more casual.

Here's a suede version with flowers. I like these ones because they would probably stay cleaner longer. Although my light colored ones have held up pretty well and don't have any stains.
The only think I don't love about these clogs is they are a little difficult to walk in. They heel is pretty heavy and is a full 5 inch heal. Because of the thick wood bottom they are not flexible at all, hence being harder to walk in. Also, AVOID wet slick surfaces. These clogs+a little rain+granite floors= ice skating.

Summer MUST...Miss Trish of Capri for Target

Looking for a reasonably priced summer "must"? How about Miss Trish of Capri for Target sandals?

Last summer (2009) was the debut of this collaboration. The sandals were at Target from April 5 to July 5, 2009. Here's one of my favs from 2009 (and also in my closet).
After much success, they decided to pair up again. This brand definitely has a laid back resort kinda feel.
Something simple with a pop. Best of all, they are timeless. These look like something Jackie O might have worn. Here's my 2010 favorite (below).

This summer, there are 5 women's pairs at Target. The best thing of all? They will only set you back $24.99 a pair.

Louboutin Love

Talk about show stoppers! When I do finally find the money tree, these will be at the top of my list of things to buy. The Christian Louboutin Bandana in lavender. The picture does not do these shoes justice....the color is BEAUTIFUL. I don't know if it's the Easter egg dreams these shoes bring to mind or what but I find the color totally mezmorizing. I love this style because you could dress it up or down. Wear them with a pair of skinny jeans and a white t or at a Hollywood event. These shoes will for sure make you the star of the night!

Cute and Comfortable

As women one of the bigger struggles we face is finding shoes that are comfortable AND cute. It seems to be something more mysterious than astrophysics. Something easy to walk in, that doesn't hurt or give you blisters, something you can wear all day<--- This is the winning combination. Well much to my surprise, these Betsey Johnson Polly's fulfill all of my requirements. These shoes hold up great (I've had mine resoled and heeled at least 3 times), they are light in weight, they are easy to walk in, you won't break your ankle, and you can wear them all day. Their secret? A wood bottom with some flex, some cushy leather padding and a rubbery bottom. Best of all they come in many colors, patterns and styles. Betsey Johnson Polly's are a MUST.

On the downside, I would not recommend ALL Betsey Johnson shoes. Her cheaper line called Betseyville is extremely uncomfortable. Although I love the pattern of my Vixon shoes, they rate low on wearability because they are just so damn uncomfortable :(

Well, after Chanel's wood bottom clogs appeared in the March edition of UK Vogue, all sorts of clogs and wood bottom shoes have hit the market. Here are 2 of my personal favorites....and 2 from my personal collection. On the upside, they are pretty versatile and easy to wear with a variety of outfits. I love clogs (even when they're not so popular) because you can just throw them on and go....lord knows finding socks and shoes is such a task ;) On the down side, these particular ones are not extremely comfortable (because the wood bottom has no flex) and are on the heavy side. The "Charli" clogs are a great knock off of the Chanel ones. They have a reasonable price point ($125) and come in a light leather, medium brown and black. They are a little hard to walk in because of their 5 inch heel and inflexible bottom, but if you're looking for this seasons hottest clogs these are THEM. I also recently purchased the "Snick", these are easier to walk in and still have a similar look. These are also 5 inch heels but since they are a wedge they are more stable. These too, have a reasonable price point ($125). These are great places to find this springs most recent trends: www.nordstrom.com (for the "Snick") and www.shopkitson.com (for the "Charli").....www.freepeople.com has the "Charli" too, but they are about $50 more expensive. Cheers to clogs! I hope they stick around for awhile.
